EXCITING WEEKEND AT “LE CLUB”

TD, due mainly to a lack of diligence of his own, was bounced from his regular foursome Saturday and he invited buddy (and neighbor) Joel (tall guy) for a round at Columbia’s best club…”Le Golf Club de Columbia”.  All of a sudden a twosome of young, fun craziness (packaged as Jessy and Jessica) came into their lives and everyone was changed forever.  (Over-exaggeration, but also, somewhat true).  As it turned out, Jessica’s parents are really good friends with TD’s (much younger) sister (Kyna); so there was no shortage of stories.  Jessica recalled wearing Kyna’s black skirt to prom, to which TD had to admit, that he had done the same thing during his goth period. 

THEN… On Sunday…

…TD and best bud Ricky Bobby (RB) (center) new member (and TD’s new neighbor) Jim (left) to Le Club for his inaugural round.  As the threesome made its way around the course, each gasped as they encountered the other’s golfing expertise and there was golfing and drinking (since there were few-to-no birdies, RB invented “par-juice”, right on the spot.  Ingenious.  At the outset, TD conjured up a game (competition) that he had not played since the 1980’s; thus the rules of the game evolved during the round.   In the end, Ricky Bobby was somehow victorious, even though his play only eclipsed that of the old white men by “a shade”.
