*For the past two years, when the TD has come over to Ireland, he seemingly has suffered at the hands of some sort of malady.  This year, after playing for five days straight in “rain land”, he became quite “snooty” (the official Missouri term for a stopped-up head) and was looking for relief of all sorts of aches and pain.  THEN came Katherine, masseuse extraordinaire at Bru’ Chlann Lir (Josephine & Matty’s) B&B at Tirrane, just a short drive down the Blacksod Peninsula from Belmullet and Carne Golf Links, along The Wild Atlantic Way.  Since the early days of getting “masseused”, TD has become somewhat of an authority on pain (as in “no pain, no gain”) and has measured his masseusers (TD’s terminology) by that standard.  While not mandatory, but by request, Katherine can “go deep” and deliver the pain that causes the gain. TD certainly appreciated her approach, and, after two sessions, he could play the violin; although he never could before. ** God bless Josephine as she never seems to run out of patience with TD and one can imagine what a struggle that could be. Bru Chlann Lir was named 2024 Best Seaside B&B by EU Business News and has become TD’s home while away from home in Ireland.  The level of failte “felt” here cannot be measured.
