IRISH LABOUR SHORTAGE MAKES “EH?” FOR CANADIANS

DUBLIN: This just in. It has come to TD’s attention that labour shortages across Ireland have led to immigration problems caused by Canadians taking jobs that could have stayed in Irish hands. Seen here, a “bar keep” (we’ll call him “Pour ED” - his real name withheld for his own safety), spends hours daily pouring pints for consumption by other Canadian immigrants who have yet to find work in Ireland. Taoiseach Michael Martin was overheard saying that he is considering asking the Americans to build a (floating) wall in an effort to curtail said activity and prevent the Canadians from taking jobs that the Irish don’t want anyway. TD suggested that Ireland could buy America’s wall as it is no longer necessitated due to mass deportation.
