SCOTLAND 2026 - Well, it's all set! TD and buddy Timmy (and Minnesotan, Rochester Randy, not pictured) are returning to Dornoch in 2026. TD's 2025 appearance here was less than "stellar" so he welcomes another chance to "tame the beast". If you haven't been this far north, this duo found this to be a pleasurable experience last year via their purchase of the International Membership at Tain. Said membership avails the holder access to Tain, Dornoch, Golspie, Brora, Wick and a host of other Highland courses. TD thinks that, surely, with the building of a new 15M euro clubhouse at Dornoch, they'll turn the sign around.
IRELAND 2026 - Also, now playing...TD heard from County Sligo buddy Jim Johnston (right) last week with an invite to come up and play Strandhill when in Ireland. Strandhill is such a great experience, watching the horses run along the oceanside racecourse and golfing in the shadow/folklore of Queen Maeve's buriel ground. TD hopes that his extra week in Ireland this summer will allow him time to make it all the way up to Ballyliffin, the Northwest Coast, before heading home.
\ENGLAND 2026 - Last stop for Summer '26 will be Royal Birkdale (for The Open Championship) and Liverpool. It will be TD's first Open outside of St. Andrews and he's really looking forward to this rental car. *** TODAY'S TD-ISM, blurted from his lips immediately after watching (a nameless) fellow competitor yank his drive wwwwaaaayyyy left into the pond on #5 at Columbia Country Club: "That was too bad to be good."
